Job Descriptions:

Administrative Coordinator

  • Manage the submission email, disperse submissions, average rubric scores, and group them for selection. This team will also be in charge of assisting the EIC with the management of the budget, meetings, and events.

Staff writer/Editor

  • Write regular pieces to be published often on the Substack page of academic analyses of popular culture, current events, and other exciting topics of your choosing as they relate to literary analysis. The amount may vary, and can also include papers for classes. The amount will not be extensive but should reflect the writing talents of the writers and interesting topics of the time to help stir up interest for submissions.

  • Writers will also act as editors, running basic editing practices on submissions based on a detailed rubric. The writer should be able to give feedback and leave comments to revise papers. Again, this task should be simple too, but the workload may vary throughout the year depending on the number of submissions.

Social Media and Marketing

  • Promote the Quill Collection on social media and through posters, classroom visits, etc.

  • This team will also be responsible for posting the papers and content to Substack and keeping track of traffic on that site and social media.
